The Club was formed in June 2007 and is affiliated to Badminton
The Junior Club meet on Friday's from 5.45pm-9-15pm and has forty five members.
The club welcomes all new members and would encourage anyone who would like to play badminton to contact us at the details below.
Club officials said "The club started with twelve members and ran one hourly session per week we now have forty five members and run three one hour sessions"
The club would like to increase the number of club nights in the future if the club's membership increases again. This would enable the members to be provided with more quality coaching time and improve their skills even more.
A inter club singles league runs throughout the year and prizes are awarded for the player with the most wins in the league at the end of the season.
Coaching
The Club has two Level 2 Coaches (Steve Dunnett, Glenn Dunnett) and one Level 1 Coach (Callum Hall)
There is a number of volunteers at the club who have decided to get more involved by using their skills to achieve their Level 1 coaching badges. The club would like to thank Robert Edwards for all his help throughout this year.
The Club actively encourages anyone who wishes to volunteer at the club to get in touch with any club member or club official.
Recently the Club were awarded funding from County Durham Community Foundation which enabled the club to purchase; New Equipment, Club kit, Affiliation Fees and Training Courses.
Badminton Events
The Club has its Easter Sessionson the 3rd of April 2012 where playing badminton is combined with lots of fun.

Friday 30th of March- Club Open
Tuesday 3rd of April- Club Open- Dolphins & Baracudas-10am-12, Sharks-1pm-3pm
Friday 6th of April- Club Closed
Friday 13th of April- Club Open
Club Logo
It was decided to have a competition for the members to design a logo for the club. After a number of weeks and lots of entries the officials decided that the winning design was by Georgina Beadle.
The new logo has now been supplied to a company who will now produce a club badge for members to put on to their kit.
